2. Our principle: the minimum of data

Meet My Medium is designed to operate with as little data as possible. Most of what you do in the application stays on your phone and is never transmitted to our servers.

3. Data stored only on your device

The following data never leaves your phone. We do not have access to it:

• Card of the day: the card drawn and the date
• Reading journal: your weekly and monthly readings, their interpretations and, where applicable, the question entered
• Birth data: date, time and place of birth, as well as the calculated birth chart
• Preferences: chosen language, preferred deck

This data is erased if you uninstall the application or if you delete it from the settings.

4. Data linked to your account

The card of the day does not require an account. In that case, an anonymous technical identifier is created, without any personal information.

If you create an account, we record:

• E-mail address: to identify you and allow you to recover access to your account
• Username: displayed only in your settings
• Account creation and last login dates: for security purposes

5. Readings written with the help of artificial intelligence

When this feature is active, the reading for your weekly and monthly spreads is composed by an artificial intelligence service.

• Data transmitted: the cards drawn, their positions, the chosen theme and, where applicable, the question you have entered. To ensure consistency between readings on the same day, a summary of the readings already carried out that day on the same theme is also transmitted.
• Data never transmitted: your name, your e-mail, your identifier, your birth data, your location.
• Provider: Anthropic (United States), under the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. The data transmitted is not used to train models.
• Retention: our servers do not retain the content of the spreads or the readings. They are recorded only in the journal, on your device.

We encourage you not to enter any personal data (name, health data) in the question field.

6. Place of birth

To calculate your birth chart, the place of birth you enter is converted into coordinates by your device's geocoding service (Apple or Google, depending on your phone). The chart is then calculated on your device. Nothing is transmitted to our servers.

7. In-app purchases

Purchases are processed by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play. We never receive your banking data. To manage your entitlements (purchases and subscriptions), we use the RevenueCat service, which processes an anonymous purchase identifier and your transaction history within the application.

8. Purposes and legal bases (GDPR)

• Provision of the service (performance of the contract): account, spreads, readings, birth chart, purchases
• Security and fraud prevention (legitimate interest): technical identifier, login dates, account deletion log
• Legal obligations: retention of proof of purchase by the app stores
• Consent: notifications, if you choose to enable them

9. Third-party services

• Firebase / Google: authentication, database, server functions. Servers may be located in the European Union and in the United States, under the Standard Contractual Clauses.
• Anthropic: writing of the readings, when this feature is active (see section 5).
• RevenueCat: management of in-app purchases and subscriptions.
• Apple App Store / Google Play: payment.
• OneSignal: push notifications, only if you enable them.

No data is sold or transferred to third parties for advertising or commercial purposes. The application contains no advertising trackers.

10. Retention periods

• Account data (e-mail, username): for the entire lifetime of the account. Account deletion, available in the settings, is immediate.
• Account deletion log (identifier, e-mail, reason, date): 1 year, for evidential and security purposes
• Data stored on your device: until you delete it or uninstall the application
• Purchase data: in accordance with the policies of Apple, Google and RevenueCat

11. Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights:

• Access: obtain a copy of your personal data
• Rectification: correct your data (username and e-mail can be changed in the settings)
• Erasure: delete your account from the settings, or on request
• Portability: receive your data in a readable format
• Restriction and objection: restrict or refuse certain processing

12. Security

• Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
• Firebase security rules restricting each account to its own data
• Server functions verifying the identity of the caller
• No sensitive data stored on our servers

13. Minors

The application is reserved for persons aged 18 and over. No data is knowingly collected from minors. Any account identified as belonging to a minor will be deleted.

14. Changes

This policy may be updated at any time. Significant changes will be notified within the application.

15. Governing law

This policy is governed by French law and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For users located outside the European Union, local legislation may apply in addition (CCPA for California, LGPD for Brazil, etc.).

Website: cookies and TikTok pixel

This showcase website (meetmymedium.com) may use the TikTok pixel, an advertising measurement tool provided by TikTok Technology Limited, to evaluate the effectiveness of our TikTok Ads campaigns (site visits coming from an ad).

The pixel is only loaded after your explicit consent through the banner shown on your first visit. If you refuse, no TikTok script is loaded and no data is sent to TikTok. Your choice is stored in your browser and can be changed at any time via the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of the page.

Data that may be processed by TikTok if you accept: IP address, browser identifier, pages viewed, timestamp. Retention on TikTok’s side: see TikTok’s privacy policy. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR article 6.1.a).

The Meet My Medium mobile app itself contains no advertising tracker.
